I don't think you can disable cortana after the anniversary upgrade. I converted my installations to enterprise so that I can use gpedit.

I signed up and got my 2012 server keys. Do you have to activate with another key if you f.ex. upgrade your mainboard, like windows oem?

Yup, it's just spyware. Too bad MSSE doesn't block it though:confused2: Anyway, it shouldn't be that much of a problem if this is included in SP1.

I haven't had a problem with it yet, as long as the checking by microsoft.com/genuine isn't mandatory.
