Since doing a fresh install of 10586.29, and only installing Chrome browser, I find hardware acceleration has to be disabled for the browser to load before I come back from making a cup of coffee? Else, it loads just fine instantly, like my coffee incidentally, instant. 359.06 Nvidia drivers, without the bloat, also installed manually. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? 10240 was perfect that way.
Kernel changes/bug fixes/optimizations and other changes under the hood is what usually break Chrome and other softwares. Google Chrome is probably using a non-standard feature to access HW acceleration that was either removed/changed had its security checks hardened. Everytime Microsoft change something to the kernel, Chrome breaks. makes you wonder..
Chrome 64 just installed on 1511 education and have geforce 353.54 (the worse ones that come with windows update) I still have to install latest one, gonna check that and tell you edit: works all right here with 359.06 and a geforce 900 series (gigabyte maker)
with win 10 1511 build .29 nvidia driver 359.06-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql and chrome DEV build Version 48.0.2564.22 dev-m (64-bit) if anyone with the same config has problems.. i think then the chrome version is the problem at your pc
chrome://gpu And if you're still having some issues chrome://flags <--- Use with care on this one !! !!
