Extract your Vista DVD and inside the Sources folder create a new text file and copy paste the text below inside and save the file as PID.TXT

    [PID]
    Value=(your OEM Vista key here)

Now take your OEM XRM-MS file that matches your key and copy the file to:

    SOURCES\$OEM$\$$\SYSTEM32\OEM

If the $OEM$ and subfolders dont exsist, create them.

Burn the contents as a bootable DVD and you have your OEM disk!

Thanks, I built my disk today. vlite worked ok for making an ISO, but it burned two bad disks. I couldn't figure it out. I finally burned the image with Nero.

What about the logos, will they imported too on the dvd? (I mean OOBE)
Or will there be other changes to make for the logos?

I wonder about this too. I entered my logos manually after I installed.

We are asking if the logos can be added to an OEM disk. I know we can put in the files, but how would get them to install the needed registy keys & etc during the install...

I did and changed everything in $OEM$ named DELL to MEDION.
Replaced the logos with the Medion ones.

And it worked without any problems.

    Thanx

How are you guys creating the new OEM DVD? I can't get Nero to do it because of the file that is larger than 2GB, and I tried another app (Ashampoo) but I end up with unreadable discs that way.

    Burning modified Vista OEM DVD

I work with ISO files. If you already have a Vista ISO, just use UltraISO or PowerISO to add or modify (extract the file you want to modify and then add it back) files and then save and burn to DVD (using the resulting image ISO) with Nero, PowerISO, UltraISO etc.

If you don't have a Vista Iso (or bin or whatever image file) make one on your computer using any of the above software apps. Then proceed as outlined above.:)

    Sharp eye kralle,;)

Not being able to create files larger than 2gb a sign of FAT32's 2gb limit on file size.
