Well, don't see why it could be of use, really... As most laptops are allready connected @home through a wireless router. Don't know anybody that hardconnects a laptop for internet access, they all use some sort of router allready, through which additional notebooks can connect if necessary. For handhelds though it could be handy. But doesn't the app hogg up recources on the win7 laptop ? Anyway, never seen this before, so props for putting it on mdl
thank you. .i also thought of that why need this. ive been away for weeks and sharing this interesting software might be helpful to others where wifi spot area of their house. some might use this like a repeater to increase the area covered by their wifi.

Im not totally sure since I havent bothered to look at this but... Should work just fine aslong as you have some sort of wireless signal coming out of that desktop and WIndows 7 of course. Internet Connection>Desktop>Wireless Desktop Card (Linksys comes to mind)

Tried it, didn't seem to work... Was complaining about no compatible WiFi devices found... I have a Intel WiFi Link 4965AGN on my lappy running latest drivers (Win7 Ultimate x64). netRAT.
A great prime example is using my tethered Blackberry for internet on my laptop, and sharing the connection with my wife's netbook when we're out and don't have a wifi connection nearby. Would definitely make life easier...
Yes, that's true. As i said, i can see the uses for handhalds and such. As for notebooks, i'm not so sure.
Another use for this, is in a big house or office where you are too far away from the router, and you don't get a good signal, but there's another computer at half distance from the router, that can act as a "repeater".
Another one : You have a desktop and say a laptop. You don't have a router and want to have internet on the laptop aswell without buying a 100$ router. Just buy a little WiFi stick, plug it in the desktop, and let it act as the router in the house. Less then half the price.
That is a good example of mainstream use... also - use the usb stick modem in lappy when travelling - and again, handheld users can simply hook up as well and everyone is enjoying the one usb stick modem connection. These are the real mainstream uses where this software shows it's worth!!
Looks like i got excited too soon. Just installed on a DELL Vostro notebook... it gave me some bulls**t message about there being no wifi devices found!! Has anyone actually got this to work??
