    Well, it works for me in Vista (this is a pretty old trick from Vista Age and I'm using it at least for one year:D), I didn't try on 7 yet but may be the same.

    You may name this as GodMode, MasterControl or MickeyMouse as you wich:D

    Try´d it on Win7 (created on root) and it works - maybe it will come handy!

    You can actually create all kinds of folders this way. For example, do this to get a Personalization folder:

    - Make a new folder
    - Rename it to: Personalization.{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921}

    Now you can access Personalization by double-clicking on this folder.

    "Personalization" can actually be anything you want. The second part (after the dot) is a CLSID.
    You can find them at the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID)

    EDIT: Found something interesting:

    {00C6D95F-329C-409a-81D7-C46C66EA7F33}

    It's called Microsoft.DefaultLocation. Create a folder with that CLSID and open it. ;)

    All of these were found by hand, by wading through the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid

    That is where to look if anyone wants to find the rest (or a particular one).

    Agreed, Very True ...

    @n00b-tweakers caution what ever you do don't put this in the root of any Vista install. It's for 7 only...

    you'd be more than a little bummed ... ;)

    GodMode."{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" not for vista usage! :eek:

    what about a right-click menu?

    all these are good in the right context. so my question is:
    how can i add a clsid to a right-click (context) menu on, say, my computer or my network? i could add 'network map' as an option of network (icon), 'system control' (my name for godmode) to computer (icon), and so on.

    Here is a little script that will build a bunch of these folders. Most of them aren't special.
