Ok I just downloaded the new 1511 from MS over the MCT and I can not get online at all, either over wireless or ethernet wired. It says that "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer" and also when I hover that message it reads "Windows Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing" I've been reading online and I'm not the only person with this issue. I have no AV or any outside software installed other than what came with Windows. I'm currently running Parted Magic to connect to MDL right now. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.
Windows 10 Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity missing Same here, I'm trying to trouble-shoot/fix a family-members': Dell 15.6" Inspiron 3521 Laptop, purchased May 2013 with Windows 8 presinatlled Intel Core i3-3217U CPU, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, HD Graphics 4000 GPU, Dell Wireless 1703 Network Adapter Had Windows 8.1 64-bit OS running fairly well: Running Avast free Antivirus, SuperAntiSpyware & CCleaner Monitoring Connected to multiple household wireless & wired cable networks incl. internet access fine Initiated the free Win10 upgrade via the System Tray notification some time ago, only recently has it actually downloaded & installed the update to Win 10 Home – currently reporting Windows 10 Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.29) It fails to connect to Network & Internet access via the wireless adapter, but connects fine via wired network cable --- Error notification is "No Internet Access", Troubleshooter results: "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer – Not fixed Windows Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing. Restore network protocols to default settings – Completed One or more network settings are missing on this computer. " --- Have browsed and tried many things to rectify it, all without success. Rolled it back to Windows 8.1, and both wireless & wired cable networks incl. internet access is fine once again. I'd like to upgrade to Win10 successfully, with all connectivity & features working fine, to test it etc. But not with that issue at this stage.
My family members' Dell 3521 laptop now running Win10 Home (Ver. 1511, Build 10586.36) recently upgraded from Win8.1, which had No Internet Access via the Wireless Network (reporting: "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer", & "Windows Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing") now appears to connect OK. After trying many different suggestions, incl. driver updates, command prompt scans, network settings tweaks, device manager items removed & reinstalled etc., I came across some info. regarding Win10 changes to various Network security protocols incl. Wireless. I tried changing my routers Wireless Authentication types (WEP-128bits, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK etc.) with no improvement. Then I noticed I had my Wireless Mode set to 802.11b+g+n - I changed it to 802.11g, saved it, restarted the router, and the Win10 Dell now connects fine. Wish I'd tried that much earlier..
I also got this crap wifi problem I have 4 new laptop for my office and fresh install 1511 version And ALL ended with can't get internet on wifi The same exact problems Googleing everywhere and none gave me solution Then I try to fresh install using 10240 version And the wifi works fine A little help please
