1. Install Vista Ultimate and activate. 2. Copy the tokens.dat file from C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData \Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing to USB or floppy. 3. Install Server 2008. 4. Configure ALL your server options/roles etc 5. When your server is the way you want it, Overwrite your tokens.dat file with the one you saved on USB stuck to above location. 6. Reboot 7. You will be asked for the product key. Use the SAME key you used to install/activate Ultimate. 8. Enjoy
This is some sweet info! Just a question, what do you mean with "Configure ALL your server options first."? Will the Server08 install not work if I add/remove server roles?
Install Vista Ultimate and activate ====>>>> OK why not !!! Configure ALL your server options first. ====>>>> VISTA ? server options ??? vista has no server options !!!! So if you say do not change server options in 2008 after activated with this token you can do nothing with server 2008 !!! More precisions please !!
I think he has his instructions mixed up. I assume you have to copy the tokens.dat from an activated Vista, install Server 2008, configure your server options, then replace the tokens.dat and reboot.
I would agree that these are most likely the steps: Install Vista Ultimate and activate Copy the tokens.dat to USB stick or wherever Install Server 2008 Configure ALL your server options first. Then overwrite the tokens.dat file REBOOT Input the same key you used to install/activate Ultimate You are activated
Crack? Why not use the serial on KEZNEWS.COM and activate works a treat, PS the second serial worked for me.........................
that or you can use the dreamspark method, then just use MSs telephone activation to activate it more than once. Now that is a crack right there heh using MSs system against them. It works though I have activated 2 copies of Server 2008 Enterprise using 1 MAK key. This way I can wait until my former employer goes out of business to start using my MAK keys.
Hi all, Is there a crack or a program similar to what is used in Windows 7 to easily activate? Cheers, M
