I think the latency issue at least on audio is since 1803 and not specific to 1903. I actually find 1903 less problematic than the previous 2 versions in this regard.
This issue affects all PCs on 1903. AMD and Intel systems all report ntoskrnl.exe DPC Latency spikes.
your mistaken by saying all pc's just some people reported it does not mean it is a bug for all PC's just my 2 cents
Ok. Run Latencymon 6.71 for an hour on your 1903 machine in the background as you use it and post it here.
I have problems with DPC ever since 10 was released, but the difference, with the timer set to 0,5 ms, is obvious. The timer can be set via "Intelligent standby list cleaner ISLC" or "TimerTool".
Bad version of Latency mon ?? no realy I have been running 1903 from the beginning don't you think that I would have noticed it allready on my hardware ? I personaly still think it's not a release stopper any way just a minor bug wich will be fixed if allready so many people have ofcourse have the problem beeing some what sceptic still
In the end people rely to much on what they see in latencymon. Should drivers and patches hopefully reduce latency in the future for those affected by the software telling you there can be issues? Of course, but very rare that peoples daily PC usage is actually affected by it. People just stare them selfs blind on the result.
True I have use Latecy mon in the past only to check for fun fact's as if I never had Latency problems on my daily driver OS but I can understand If you have some Latency trouble that you wanne check it with a program as Latency Mon but hey shouting out with a post like this from the OP as if it's the end of the world triggers me some how haha
I think that's why Microsoft is really taking it's time this year. I've still not seen 1903 pop up on Windows Update despite reports that it's begun rolling out.
It is rolling out. They fubard this build. 1903 is a joke. kernel related latency spikes in the thousands in unusable imo.
I'm going to only allow security updates and skip 1903 (which is really 1905 or 19H1) until 1908 (or 1911 or 19H2) is released. Then I'll update to 1905 if it's ready and if not I'll install 1911 - unless it's not ready. Who am I kidding, each release is not ready. I'll update whenever I feel like I should, not when Satya Nadella thinks I should. Windows 10 nowadays is just a platform to sell stuff, not taken seriously by Microsoft anymore. I only use LTSB/C on any machine I care about, mostly LTSB. The consumer editions are a joke.
i have installed latencymon tool. after a few minutes it reported that my compouter is not suitable for realtime operations. latencies are over a thousand. very strange. i have a new h370 motherboard with a 9th gen cpu. there were audio/video glitches. i thought these were because of drivers. may be the real culprit is this windows 10 1903
This has been upvoted on the Feedback Hub only by 4 people, thus it seems that it doesn't affect most systems. I'm running 18362.1 since it came out on different PC's I have, and the only problem I noted (as in previous builds) is some audio latency, otherwise in my own experience this build is smoother than the previous builds from MS. I guess that some of this latency could also be due a combination of Bios and drivers, but this has been always the case with this OS.
