You can add explanation on the option 3 in your TUT : use the original BIOS or mod BIOS.... It's not clear for a beginner
It was working this morning this was a revised version by YEN so i cant upload it without his permission he must have removed it from rapidshare.
Sory for the misunderstandig... The Code widow, I think has shortend the link, by replacing some of the letters with dots..... This dots: h**p://rapidshare.com/files/10868757...80419.rar.html Thats why the link might not be working..
Does anyone know if an Award BIOS patcher exists for SLP1? The AmiUtil patches both SLP1 (XP) and SLIC (Vista)...would be nice to have this option for XP as well
It would be hard to make a slp1 autopatcher for award because the new compressed system module has to be the same size as the original. When you add a text string you have to zero/space out other text and check until the size is correct. The AMI patcher makes the 1B module bigger too, but it is able to be reintegrated. Offsets change for the modules beneath it, but it still works in most cases (not MSI).
Yep you can use any slic you like, provided you have matching cert (.xrm-ms)! By the way I don't recommend using the autopatcher. See Mod Your Own Bios thread for updated ISA modules and instructions.
