Will just have to give it a shot. It has only failed to write the string on me once and it was an older Asus Slot A. Some older boards would write the string and still not activate for some reason, maybe a memory address differnce. Most any newer board (370 socket +) it should work great.

Are you going to the a410n motherboard, or changing for a new one. If you replace the pavilion board with an aftermarket, then you absolutely can use this cd. It works well.

Which board are you looking at, if I may ask. Some bios are more difficult than others..

    HP Phoenix BIOS tattoo

    Hello,

I have an nx9110 and somehow during the flashing of the bios I trashed the DMI data. I need to re enter it but phlash16 /DSS:.... is not working and obviously the AMI/Award tools do not work. I'm guessing that I need to get hold of a copy of the official HP tattooing software.

Can anyone help? Do you have a copy of the motherboard DMI util from HP or know of another way?

    Thanks in advance
