I have same problem as you,even there's a thread about HP laptops and unabling to activate Vista because of incompatible SLIC table.Try OneClick activator by Clony,i think it'll work with you,until someone find a solution for us.

Well, desperate times call for desperate measures so if you don't mind running Vista Business or Enterprise, those editions can be activated via a spoofed KMS server. I also have a COA key for a Vista Ultimate and Home Premium that I got off a pre-installed machines that I know it has not used but was told those keys were disabled. If you want, I can PM you those keys and you can try activating it and see if they are truly disabled. I know it's a long shot but it doesn't hurt to try them. Let me know. And if you really, really, really want Vista, you could always install XP, then run Vista in a VMware virtual machine since VMware bios can be modded. I know it's oxymoronic but at least you don't have reinstall Vista every 15 days----lol.
If it is sufficient for you to run Vista RTM version instead of SP1 (and latest updates) there is no problem. Paradox method works good. Hope it helps.

It seems theres no chance to solve our problem.Im so dissapointed with my laptop,now i really think to sell it and take another manufacturer. We need to resolve how to flash bios with full flash Rompaq,it seems that HP use another tool on first flash,and bios updates doesnt reflash those sectors what we need to activate Vista.Until then,we can satisfy by paradox activation and hiding KB940510 from updates.

Sorry, I have no other keys other than 1 Ultimate and 1 Home Premium. Those keys were distributed on a first come first served basis. I am still waiting for feedback as to whether the keys worked or not.
i tried these key in a fresh copy of windown Vista Ultimate and didn't work the other key of windows Vista Home premium i tried it on my laptop...didn't work too....we still need a crack or to Mod the BIOS for these laptops
There is a way to write a softpatch for all who are unable to activate HP / Compaq Notebooks so far If somebody is interested please reply with AcpiScope report (*.ats). I'll write the softpatch and instructions for you!
Here you go, this is a new bios.. WinFlash reports it as version F.3E (F.3D is the newest on the HP dv9000 series downloads) Might be the fact that I sent my laptop in for repairs.
Hi, the F.3D bios can be easy modified. So there is a way to make a real biosmod. The OEM ID is right already. The patch I offered here is for HP / Compaq Notebooks whose bioses cannot be modified AND all other soft methods such as Vistaloader aren't working. I don't know if you want to try a modified bios. If yes, just tell it and provide a link to the bios to make sure I've got the right one.........
