It is a Supermicro P6DBU, dual processor board with SCSI based on the Intel 440BX chipset. The BIOS chip has AMIBIOS 686-PII written on it.

The board contains dual 1GHZ P3 processors and is still worth using.

I've been trying to DL the AMI mod tool in Post #1 but there is a problem with the link. "BANDWIDTH Exceed". Anyone one have a mirror site to DL from?

    Corrupt Zip ?

I have tried to download both Andy's tools and I get an error "File is corrupt" in both Windows and Winrar.
Should I be using something else ?

edit: Tried the link above - works perfectly
    file size is larger

When Attempting to use your AMI tool on my ECS A880GM-M7 (V2.0) bios using SSV3 It says "Not enough space to add SLP string. Truncate SLP string to BINARY BIOS SLIC Filename: Hp[HPQOEMSLIC-BPC]2.1.BIN"

If you don't mind, what exactly does that mean and is it safe to say yes, or is there a possibility of it causing problems?

Also, I should use SSV3, and not SSV2, correct? Just asking based on the quoted text below.

I would try an SSV2 Mod for that one.

First off thanks for the quick reply :)

well i just figured out why i got the "Not enough space to add SLP string. Truncate SLP string to BINARY BIOS SLIC Filename: Hp[HPQOEMSLIC-BPC]2.1.BIN" error. Like an idiot i chose details.txt for the SLP file o_O

Now that i dont get the error anymore should i still use SSV2 or should i use SSV3?

    Thanks

SSV3 is fine as long as it completes without an Error, but if it fails to Activate Windows then use the SSV2 Method.

    To insert slp in bios

    DEAR ANDY,

Is there any way to insert SLP in to bios. Using v1.61 with H55 boards, SLIC2.1 working, but no SLP.

    Thanks in Advance

Have you tried going into the advanced tab and placing a tick into "Insert SLP string in IBM region"

    This always works for me.

Can you come back and report if this succeful

    Kind Regards
