But when the clip start, you can read the label of the desktop icons ?
In my case, I'm not able to read them.
    Thx !

I couldn't get it to work on my Win7 Beta 1. Actually, after installing the hack and then rebooting, and not getting it to work, I attempted to restart again and I couldn't shut down. I had to do a hard shutdown.

I decided to do a System Restore prior to the hack. I guess I'll just do without it.

    Windows Server 2008 R2 ?

Tried Orbit's patch (DreamScene_Win7.exe) for Server 2008 R2 STD, all working except desktop icon text is faded.

To make the shortcuts look a bit more tidy goto system properties\advanced system settings\performance setting\visual effects, scroll down to use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop and uncheck box.
This will remove the text on desktop shortcuts.. Looks better than the faded text.;)

Hi, I tried the manual steps for the 64 bit version but it didnt work. I dont have the option of Dreamscene in the Desktop Background combo - menu.

I copy the files to the System32 and En-US directories and with UAC disabled i did double click on the reg file, i accepted the changes to the registry and i rebooted.

What im missing. I have Windows 7 64/bit English build 7000

If i remember correctly it don't really give an ioption, just right click a dreamscene and set as desktop bg :)

I dont have that option neither, doesnt appear in the right click context menu. I tried right clicking the video that comes with the package and that its placed on %Windows%\Web\Windows DreamScene\

I mention the DreamScene option in the "Personalize --> Desktop Background" window because thats how it worked the last time I installed Dreamscene, on that ocasion it was with Vista Business 64 bits and I have to make the same steps that with this package

This is not a permanent fix but if you right click on desktop then personalize and minimize the window everything goes back to normal.

Noted: Only tested on build 7022 32-bit
