    Seems that the new wim-files can only be maintained using the dism version of win8.1

    Did anybody try if the AIK for win8.1 preview works?

    One thing to remember (i forgot that, so maybe others too)
    If you add a language pack to a wim image and then try to activate .net35 for this wim
    it will fail, if you do not update the sources\sxs folder with the corresponding language folders of an other installation DVD in the language you add before.

    Hi komm,
    Do you think that the dism command with sxs folder taken from a windows 8 dvd (corresponding to the LP) and imported to a new win8.1 dvd containing the LP would work?

    More or less the same question about dism, is it backwards compatible with Windows 8?
    I mean, can we use dism for W8.1 to mantain images from W8?
    It would be nice to read up on the changes between the two dism's.
