Hi! I installed Windows 8 Pro MSDN version then activated it with KMS method and then used the WMC Upgrade Key given by Microsoft in the promotion. My Windows 8 Pro WMC is working fine until now. I just want to know if there is any method o upgrade to Windows 8.1 without breaking the activation. Thanks...
You can update it via store without breaking your both of Windows and Office 2013 (if installed) activation. Completely tested! You can peacefully move forward!
Hah, forgot to inform one thing. In this case, if office 2013 is activated using KMS, it will break only the activation of office.
Hi, I just tried to do the whole windows 8 pro activated with kms installed media center key and activated it fully. Now when i tired to install windows 8.1 it installed but says not activated. Can you tell me how you did it without breaking your activation?
Oh one more thing I can't see the update in the store for some reason. How did you see it can you tell me how to get it in the store pls. (I updated to 8.1 with an iso i downloaded)
Seems to have worked for me, at least so far. Lost language packs, and they don’t appear in Windows update though. I guess that will be solved eventually.
Go to Search > edit group policy > administrative templates > windows components > store, disable item 1,2,4, enable item 3
I only have 2 options: turn off the offer to update to the latest version of Windows and Turn off the Store application. Both are on not configured by default (which it says is the same as disabled) and I still can't see the update. Microsoft said KMS activated Windows 8 users won't be able to see the update. So how can you see it?
yep, it installed without breaking the activation, but Office KMS activation broke up, which I think, I can solve... Thanks a lot...
the update appeared easily in the store and all activations are working fine,( i had a KMS activation and WMC upgrade) nut the upgrade really wrecked the PC. all things are terribly slow, and i am not happy at all .. but may end up reinstalling the whole this. and use the activation backups to get along... if the performance does not improve with fresh install then i will go back to win 8.
