Been doing some searching and cant find where the 3.47 gb 8.1 upgrade download from the windows store downloads to? anyone know?? thanks dp
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download Then moves itself to C:\$Windows.~BT (hidden folder) just before it wants to reboot
No it's an esd file which I believe is encrypted! but after some working when it moves to C:\$Windows.~BT I think It's then decrypted?? not sure
if you do the option to make media, it places it in c:\ESD\Windows its just like an iso extracted with folder structure. install.wim is install.esd however. -ed oh the actual file you download is encrypted yes. -ed2 once you create media, it deletes the esd
No, it's still the same however, like EFA11 said, before reboot and installation, C:\$Windows.~BT become like extracted iso folders structure
has anyone got the actual download or have it uploaded as of yet? found it under: 9600.16415.winblue_refresh.130928-2229_x64fre_client_Professionalwmc_gdr_en-us-IR1_CPWMCA_X64FRER_EN-US_ESD
if you start the download and pause it, you can see the link in C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebSetup\Panther\setupact.log but it is totally encrypted and useless -ed- I keep forgetting, you are using store update. I used WindowsSetupbox.exe btw you have private message Dos_Probie
@ EFA11 Updating from the store update download directory would be in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download But The Download WindowsSetupBox.exe will download to C:\ESD
