Old news But AnyDVD doesn't do UHD 4k (AACS 2.0) I suspect DeHUD developers have some source (hack in player or insider source in industry) that can get the relevant keys to decrypt them. If they are getting from an insider source then I would not call it cracked. Cut that source off and you back to square one. After the keys have been obtained (by insider or some hack) then it's just a standard implementation of the decrypt. The real question would be how they got the keys.
No he is not correct since there is more than one key, there is also the volume ID and the title encryption (similar like sha1) so it's not easy. I added in OP some sources to free open source programs the the specifications and a link which explains how the decryption process really works. However the real reason is to make a small tutorial for AnyDVD HD users to decrypt the Blu-Ray Discs. I never said there was just one key .... I said keys And that applied to blue-ray, not UHD with AACS 2.0. This will be multiple keys also but the algo's will likely be more secure having learned from the mistakes they made.
That's what you said and what is wrong. The ID is not a key, it's more like (as said) sha1 sum to check against the tsmp.
It was definitly cracked otherwise there would be no BD+ (coming soon), the keys you always talk about doesn't matter there more than only the keys which are necessary, like I said it's also an ID (no the term here is not key it's really an ID). Maybe read the specifications. Cracking Bluray and UHD-BD is not a one-time crack like DVD css. These formats allow for evolving encryption methods - key revocation, new AACS versions, new security measures etc. Basically they are designed to resist cracking attempts or in the very least make it an ongoing effort. State from the Terminal group (known cracker group): Basically they dumped it via vbindiffand other tools and created a fake 'input' to optain the data. That's not an exploit.
