I have now tested the CD created in this way on a physical machine & it DEFINITELY shows activated on an Asus workstation with Hewlett-Packard DMI string. Remove the string & it goes to 30 day left, re-add the string & it shows activated again. sebus
Just as an info: WUDSS03 Std/Ent 32-bit is nothing different than Windows Server 2003 SP1 Std/Ent 32-bit + R2 disk + SP2 disk + iSCSI Target disk BRMEFPP_EN BRMECD2FRE_EN CR0SP2_EN CD_ROM It is only the key that installs it as WSS & adds/combines in one GUI elements that exist in the base OS anyway, plus the iSCSI Target CD4 And in fact R2 disk2 is the same in either Std or Ent Edition, but a single number difference in ProductType = x in D:\CMPNENTS\R2\R2INTL.INF (where x=2 for Ent & x=1 for Std) and a folder name D:\CMPNENTS\R2\PACKAGES\NASNEWBINS_ENT or NASNEWBINS_STD That is true for x64 versions as well, Standard or Enterprise Also interesting things one can get from mixing different pid (in setupp.ini) with the UDSS HP SLP key 64-bit Ent Edition (it can for instance create Storage Server 2003 - not UD - from same key also activated) And after all the testing one can use....FreeNAS or Thecus hardware sebus
Sure, I can make you the "kit", but there is no SLP key available for x86, so it will be no good (unless you have such key) sebus
WUDSS 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Hi sebus I know this is taking you back 2 years but any chance you can repost your link to the WUDSS 2003 R2 Standard x64 files so I can build a WUDSS 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 for SLP activation? Alternatively do you know how to activate Storage Server 2008? Thanks
Storage Server 2008 can be activated with MAK key from MSDN/Technet (I do not believe there is known SLP OEM key for it) I could probably try to find it somewhere on my drive & post it, but why bother? Any half-decent Linux distro will do it better - check also purpose build openfiler of freenas sebus
anyone know where to download windows 2003 storage 32 bits? i search high & low & can't find anything...
