Can't get this to work with dv5t

    When I try to run v10b.bat on a dv5t I get:

    Code:
Vendor code not support in this package
    unexpect error
Looking at the bat file, I figured out it needs to launch hpbq116.exe for quanta boards. I now for a fact that my board is a quanta 3602. When I launch this executable manually it runs, but when I do a read product information all I get back is random strings for all fields except OS SKU.

Is this not the right utility for my particular laptop? It seems from the pdf included in the utility packages that it should be supported.

    Solved

OK. I figured out my problem. This utility doesn't seem to work properly from Vista. When I used a dos boot disk the utility works perfectly. Thanks for posting this tool.

    Hello,
After making the recovery of the system BIOS in flash drive, I received several errors in the BIOS.
With this tip from our colleague, managed to recover the BIOS and eliminate all mistakes.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hey,

Thanks for posting this great utility. However, i am having a problem. I have a HP DM4 notebook, running 64 bit Win7. And no matter what tool i run, it give error stating 16 bit program cant be run on 64 bit system, please ask vendor for compatible program.

Now, I was wondering if i installed Win XP on this system, will it run the Tool? or do you have any solution that i can run on my existing Windows 7 64 bit directly?

    PLEASE HELP!!!
