I think you've missed Gigabyte cert? And are there also SLIC's for GREATWALLl, VELOCITY and SYSTEMAX available?
Gigabyte was just added, the rest are already in there. @ llyx, the Gateway you attached was already in there named "Emachine-Gateway" as it has the same crc, the other two I didnt have, and were added, thanks.
Sorry. i meant matching SLIC tables for certificates of Velocity, Systemax and Greatwall - if they can be also shared. BTW FOUNDER1.XRM-MS contains just empty bytes. And maybe it'd be better to re-name TOSHIBA-LTP.XRM-MS as TOSHIBA-QCI.XRM-MS (OEMID= TOSQCI).
Thanks for the heads up on the certs. I don't have the Velocity slic, but the other two are in the second post. I added the bin collection area there.
The one in my list starts like: SLICv zHPQOEMSLIC-MPC Yours starts like: SLICv HPQOEMSLIC-MPC There is a "z" just before HP.
Guys, talk to Yen or other modders about what makes SLIC's unique. I mean, it's definitely not their hash, cause some data in SLIC can be safely changed without breaking it. Can't be changed: The header (first 9 bytes) OEMID OEMTableID RSA1 Public key Marker Can be changed: Checksum - 1 byte before OEMID All data (namely CreatorID and Revision code) between OEMTableID and the header of RSA1 Public key, in other words, 12 bytes after OEMTableID. Hope. this will explain the difference. And thanks for the SLICs collection!
That was what I was thinking as well with the two HP's..could have been a z added where should be a blank space, etc. I guess we will leave them untill Yen or someone else can verify which one should be the "virgin" bin. Some of the Acer's have more than one byte different, although each may activate the same, being a few bytes different will be enough to keep them for now.
One was in there, was named different than yours. Got the other added. Will make the change and re-upload. Thanks for the help
Hey Guys, As Windows 7 is using SLIC's and Cert's too. You may want to consider a way to tell the difference between files that work with both Vista and Windows 7, and those that work only with Vista or Windows 7.
Thanks for the heads up. Will start a thread over on the Windows 7 area and add what has been found. I also checked all the bins in this thread and all are 2.0, so I modified the list names to reflect that they are the 2.0 versions to help with confusion later.
Looks like i've finally found SLIC for HP Proliant certificate: it's in BIOS update for HP ProLiant DL165 G6 Servers - lies openly in binary rom, but without the header, so if nobody'll be faster, i'll combine and test it soon.
The "z" is the in the location of the checksum byte. This can be changed to whatever it takes for the SLIC code to have an 8bit CHKSM "00h". This will be different from the 2.0 value due to the different code. I believe Insyde changes this byte to a different value.
