I'm a little confused... So this does not require a serial number (to install), and does not require activation?

 

No SP3 needs a serial to install, only to activate. This will need the VLK key after install, or during install, or it will give 30day stuff. Sometimes it causes trouble if you do not input key on install, unless you convert to OEM after install..Then the key is entered for you.

 

XP SP3 VLK requires a key during install. Not giving any keys is not an option.

On XP Pro e XP Home (non VLK) you can skip giving a key during install and you can enter it later, in 30 days (just like Vista).
