after a reboot, Disable telemetry 3 of 3 is on again. Looking at that. Going to try run as admin see what happens. -ed ok right clicked ran as admin that way and the setting took *from what the GUI shows anyway* after reboot. All green atm anyway lol
I've been running it as admin but as you stated after a reboot telemetry 3 is on again must be a chron job issue edit: at second reboot it's off, right
second time I set it, it stayed after reboot. Going to reboot again for giggles in a second -ed- still appears to be holding.
This is the most important piece of commercial software in history ever; not because of what it does, but because of why it has to do what it does. Also, I figured the germans would be extremely concerned about privacy issues so I've been googling "germany privacy issues windows 10" every day for a while now and O&OShutUp10 still doesn't show up. I need to reassess my google-fu. I've been using O&O stuff over the years, but they're now my favorite company.
Disable Telemetry (3 of 3) took a couple of attempts to stick here too. Following a reboot is was enabled again, used the Actions menu - clicked Go, re-booted and this time it stuck. Cheers EFA11. Nice to see something where all the settings look easily reversible (undoable).

So far this seem OK, it passes sfc with the only thing I did which was set telemetry to 3, if something happens I blame it on EFA11, jk, lol, what's really funny though is I can still hear MS laughing, and the NSA has tears in their eyes from laughing so hard. hm, not sure if they continue to laugh out that load any more. Guess they didn't expect such a total detection of their BS coming with W10. The media already report about it and software producers like O&O making programs which can stop that collecting-crap. I'm waiting on a major statement from MS which tells us all that they stopped spying and they have released some hotfixes to completely shut down that mess. (at least for the masses' eyes )
Well, seems I spoke to soon, people are having trouble with downloading the new build with telemetry on, turn it off, everything works, so if I turn it off, just for alittle while, they still know the brand of Toilet Paper I buy, so bottom line is they can spy on me whenever they want.
