    a little confused!?

If I flashed my bios with 2.1 slic (HP) ...what steps do I need to do ? All of them or can I skip some since my bios is legit 2.1 slic? And where do I get the wim file from?

May be a more simple way is to replace default keys (which are retail) with SLP keys in sources\product.ini file? Then there would be no need to edit install.wim. Somebody should try it to see if it would work though...

You do not need to take any of these steps to install Windows 7 with 2.1 SLIC. This is for automated activation so you don't have to use the slmgr commands to activate.

If you already knew that, good! lol. If not, well people who are reading but dont, you do now! :p

Anyways, 1. After you have installed Windows 7 WAIK, extract install.wim from the sources folder of the Windows 7 RTM ISO to C:\oem

I honestly didn't even look at that file. Lol. I'll try it now.

I will try this. I think product.ini will be the way OEMs use though honestly. Theirs a list of each SKU in there so... But this may prove useful. Testing... Yes, tried PID.

The OEMs will most likely use whats in the OPK and not any type of work around.
Winrar file has StepByStep_OEM.htm and system_builder_quick_start.htm in it from the OPK iso.

So basically they'll do the same thing I did, except adding all their extra crap on to the install. I could make an answer file for everyone to apply to their wim, but wouldn't really be a point if they just use the commands I did. Only thing That I'd be able to do otherwise with an answer file is apply the OEM information... Which I'm not entirely sure anyone really cares about. OEM BRANDING EWWWW! lol. I brand myself! >.> I dont feel like downloading the lenovo dvd to look either :/

of course that method works XD

Just trying to figure out easy OEM method. One besides the dism method. If their is one. I'm starting to wonder if none of this stuff works because you can't enter a key in the DVD Boot Setup. And if you can, I've never been prompted for it like Vista's has.

    just a question m8
if im using an OEM DVD ( theres one floating around ) and its genuine OEM dell dvd , isnt it enough to just replace the cert file in the $oem$ folder with the appropriate one

as well im using an ultimate oem dvd
