Did Microsoft supply an evaluation key for use until March 2010?

My copy has a 30 trial period. The same copy everybody else downloaded according to my crc md5 checksums.

I don't want to use a ldr or actvator. Any ideas. You suggestions or advice is appreciated.

I don't understand. Isn't that what I want? The RC key?

The RC key doesn't work on RTM, of course.

Why do you want to have an RC key that stops working some day?

Thank you. That's really not the discussion, but it is for an associates computer who wants to try it. He will buy the final copy if he is happy.

He can try for 30 days, and rearm 3 times, that makes 120 days.

I've never done a rearm. Is it straightforward?

How to manually extend the evaluation period

When the initial 30-day evaluation period nears its end, you can run the Slmgr.vbs script to reset the evaluation period. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, and then click Command Prompt.
    2. Type slmgr.vbs -dli, and then press ENTER to check the current status of your evaluation period.
    3. To reset the evaluation period, type slmgr.vbs –rearm, and then press ENTER.
    4. Restart the computer.

This resets the evaluation period to 30 days.
