Hello, my first post. Nice site!

I'm using a 7601 evaluation copy & loader. All was fine until, by early September, PC started to reboot every couple of hours. MS recognizes Win 7 as genuine.

I searched the WEB for a solution and I believe the only solution would be to install a RTM copy. Just in case, I decide to purchase a license from huigoo (very good price!). I'm considering an update (not fresh install) since there lots of apps in the PC.

I've DL'd RTM as pointed in the official windows repository thread:

It just happens that the update "freezes" (but with significant CPU activity in the installer) in the checking compatibility phase.

    Suggestions, pls?

    Thanks,

@ introuble, I would install windows 7 sp1 media refresh rather than RTM.

    Thanks, guys

I was able to update to sp1 media refresh (maybe I was too impatient - it took a looong time in the compatibility phase).

I will leave the PC on and see if it (doesn't) reboots.

    Take care,
