    has anyone tried this on their laptop, generate a system health report, the one where it collects data for a minute, on my 7955 install, it states my cpu activity is very very high, even at idle, anyone get that?

    I get the same:
    status=busy
    utilization=99%
    Details=high CPU load, investigate top processes

    Have you used a 3rd party software like AIDA64 to verify the high CPU usage? If AIDA64 shows that the cpu usage for the cores is normal, then "health report" may not be properly functioning for 7955. Also, are what brand of CPU are you two using - AMD or Intel?

    I'd recommend running Process Explorer (Sysinternals, Microsoft) - then seeing what process is causing the high CPU usage, and checking out its thread stack.

    It's probably the system health report tool itself, if I had to guess..

    svchost.exe [termed as Host Process For Windows in 7955]
    takes around 158468K of memory even at idle state.
    kill it and you get a BSoD
