... Just wanted to say to everyone in this thread that it is in your best interest to ignore tuvi123. All he does is troll and complain with out any proof of his own... Just some FYI tuvi123 (and everyone else for that matter that wants to make claims that someone's code is acting maliciously), if you are going to post disparaging comments about others' work, I suggest you provide screen shots, or some way for others to verify what you are claiming to "see". Without any proof, all you are doing is making yourself look untrustworthy IMHO...
Can someone explain what changes activators like this make to your system, such as what and where files are copied and/or modified? Does it modify any existing Windows 7 files?
I've only recently become interested in this, and as far as I can tell, it emulates SLP activation using a custom boot loader and a .cert file.; along with an OEM SLP Key inserted into the OS on a partition which is normally dedicated to holding valid cert files. The operating system is looking for a specific bios, then checks it with a partition containing the cert and slp key for that OEM bios; hence the need for a bios emulation.
WoW doesn't hide boot text. I'm not sure if there's a way to hide it other than editing grub4dos manually; or using another loader.
I don't use this loader. If you read back, you'll see what it does. It doesn't do anything malicious, but I prefer not to use it. It's very sloppy code.
It's in Opa's repository. I'll find it; one second. It's titled 7emulation, it does everything you need it to do and nothing you don't. I should put Opa's repository in my sig. I'll reply with a link in a minute or two(I thought it was pinned)
It's 7emulation2. Edit: The reason I like it is that it's basically Hazar's loader but it works for all Languages. I'd love to reverse CHEW, but It's been a long time since I've reversed anything, and I'm very curious as to how it works.
Can someone with specific knowledge regarding what this activator does to your system (such as Hazar or Daz - no offense to gastro, but you seem to be making assumptions) please respond to my question? What specific changes does this activator make to your system (what files are copied or modified, etc)? I'm mostly interested in whether it modifies existing/original Windows 7 files.
You can't understand bat files? The 1.3 Orbutt can be decompressed well enough so that you can see exactly what it does outside of inserting OEM logos.
General questions I used the Orbit & Hazar R5 release a while back. My system is activated (I have not enabled updates at this point at all). If i do updates will that particular loader have a blacklisted key? Will I need to remove that R5 version and use a more recent one (v1.3)? Also if I buy a legit copy and want to activate legitimately, will i just need to uninstall the loader and activate online as normal?
Well i am 99.9% sure all lo*ders use the leveno key. If you wait till the retail release date there will be more OEM keys that get leaked. But on the other hand if you go buy a copy just uninstall that loader and activate like normal.
