I really don't understand what you want to tell/ask me

Digitara has an activated 8.1 and wants to go to Win 10 and get a free HWID.

So he needs to upgrade to 10 by starting setup on the win 10 iso, use the MCT or generate a genuineticket.xml (if the activation is official, not kms) and directly install 10 and apply the ticket.

 

No one asked him if it was OEM Home or Pro, or retail Pro, if it was Retail Pro, why would he need ticket.

 

What is the difference? If he just upgrades he'll get a free Win 10 copy on that system.

I don't get your connection between being activated and using the assistive upgrade website, it's not needed but also has nothing to do with any activation.

Point (trying to be) made is that the assistive tech. 'workaround' for getting the free '10 upgrade isn't needed because MS is still handing out free upgrade license through the regular upgrade process.

It still works with regular iso/MCT/USB/DVD.
