    it means no mater your notebook is pre-installed vista or not,use the vendor-supplied insydeflash to flash it will work.


    you should use the unofficial insydeflash to flash the common version bios in order to get slic,and the uuid,sn will lose too.

    I don't understand superversion my notebook Acer 6530G work fine with Bios patch with SLIC2.1 and good cert .

    All bioses i moded was the type of insyde,may be your bios belong to phoenix.

    Is your laptop pre-installed with vista?

    just give me a link to download your bios.

    Users of eMachines E510 reports that slic is not updated and remains "Gateway 2.0"

    What happens if my Acer isn't pre-installed with Vista? It does not have an SLIC 2.0.
