I just installed Server 2008 R2 Enterprise on a Supermicro X8DTi-F based system a couple of days ago, i.e. on a motherboard with an ICH10R South bridge. The system drives are 2 of the new Intel 34nm 80GB X25-M running in RAID1. The driver version is the same as you are using, i.e. 8.8.0.1009. I had no problem installing the driver at the beginning of the setup and everything went smoothly. This was a clean install, though. I don't know if this helps at all, but at least it seems fully possible to install R2 on an ICH10R based system.
no issues here, I run Hyper-v Server 2008 R2 not Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V. As for exporting and importing the VMs, I have never been able to have a successful export and import of the VMs only when using VMM have I been able to. I ran an upgrade from Hyper-v Server 2008 to Beta's of R2 and those went fine and recently went from the RC to RTM and had no issues.
