XXL waves on the north shore so the WSL Commissioner canceled the Sunset Beach event for today & are throwing the Women to the sharks/ bombs (JK about the sharks)

Live now 2 running at once…

Beachwaver Maui Pro @ Honolua Bay, Maui, Hawaii & my local girl Courtney Conlogue just won R1, H1

Women’s Jaws Challenge Semifinals Heat 1

Edit: The men are up at Jaws now & they are getting chewed-up, eating 9/10 of their takeoffs on HUGE waves. It is a good thing they wear floatation devices & the Hawaiian rescue crew (on Jet Skis) are out there to help. It's getting BIG & HEAVY, they are calling it w/ 50-60 foot sets.

Yesterday Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) won her women’s 7th World Title while competing @ the Beachwaver Maui Pro

Today @ the Beachwaver Maui Pro
Honolua Bay, Maui, Hawaii Carissa Moore (HAW) won the gold

And @ the Big Wave Tour, Jaws Challenge
Pe'ahi, Maui, Hawaii Billy Kemper (HAW) won the gold

Yesterday Billy Kemper got knocked unconscious after taking a horrendous wipeout & slammed by the next wave @ Jaws, afterword’s the WSL Commissioner called off the contest for the rest of the day as carnage was inevitable for paddling to catch waves, Tow-in surfers hit the water after the contest was called off to challenge the HUGE, GNARLY waves.
Comparing the yesterday’s surf intimidation, try to imagine a pit-bull the size of a elephant.

Today they announced that the Vans World Cup @ Sunset Beach, Oahu, Hawaii will resume tomorrow.

    Certainly Tiger,
The WSL Men's the Brazillians are ranked the top 3 out of 4 before the Pipe Pro which starts today.
Garbriel Medina BRA (Gabby nick) can win the world title again @ this last CT contest this year.
I would like to see Filipe Toledo BRA win it though, we shall see
Gabby does have a pretty good advantage though.
*Who do you like to win?

Edit: The Pipe Pro is off today as the wind is "ripping into it", will check back tomorrow.

Watching the contest yesterday was a good way to waste a day off.

Gabby BRA won the Pipe Masters & the WSL World title, he ripped for sure.

The most amazing heat was Kelly vs Filipe (Round 3).
I have never see one of these 'Houdini Tube Ride' live that Kelly pulled off, its in the MSM news today.

*The video of all the waves Kelly & Filipe surfed in that heat, the 'Houdini' is just before minute 4 on the timer along w/ several different angles & slo-mo of the feat.
