Ok the Netbook in question is a ASUS Eee PC 1005 HAB.

As you can see in the below link, someone already requested a SLIC 2.1 Mod for the Bios Revision: 1102, for this model....

And as you can see here, The Mod is confirmed working..

Now my question, which maybe a stupid one, Is: If I re-flash this netbook with the Modded Slic 2.1 Bios above, will it remove the already present SLP 1.0 string from this netbooks current Bios, leaving me with just Slic 2.1?

I ask this because I plan to configure the PC for daul booting XP and 7..

You wil have both 2.1 and a SLP 1.0 for your xp to activate but your original SLP string will be changed with the new one provided by the modder. I'm sure the string on that mod bios is ASUS_FLASH (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=2411858C). so you won't have problem installing your XP. Thanks.

The old one will still be there too. SLP1.0 You can have many SLP 1.0 strings at one time. The tool puts the SLP strings at addresses not often used by OEMs..so if it has SLP fom factory, it will be the same after flash..

If you have ASUS_FLASH from ASUS, and a modder adds Hewlett-Packard to the bios, you will have both..:biggrin::D

If it is modded to add the SLP ASUS string, it will absolutely be ASUS_FLASH....

    Thanks domatlapuk & 911medic.

I kind of got that impression form searching, but still wasn't 100% sure.. Figured it better to ask now, rather then be surprised later.. That's all I needed to know... Thanks again..
