    Hi,

Just got my NEW Gigabyte x79-UD3 today.
I'm going to start assembling everything this week.

In the past I've modded a bios before, plenty of times.

I've heard and know this BIOS used UEFI.

I've heard that these BIOS's require digital signatures

Does this mean that a SLIC table can't be inserted into it and I have to resort to a software hack like DAZ or can the bios for a UEFI bios such as mine can be modded.

    Thanks in advance

As if it depends upon the vendor/product of your BIOS, not an EFI specific issue ;-)

So has the Gigabyte x79-UD3 been modded yet with slic 2.1?

I have found there is a modded bios posted back in January...But that site was closed down by the Feds, is there another way to get this :

    Manufacturer: GIGABYTE
    Motherboard Model: GA-X79-UD3 (rev. 1.0)
    Bios revision: F7
    Bios Type: AWARD UEFI BIOS
    Bios Download Link: download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_x79-ud3_f7.exe

    SLIC: GIGABYTE 2.1
    SLP: GIGABYTE
    Cert: GIGABYTE

Modded with Phoenix Mod Tool 1.94
    Mod method: MODULE

    Biosmod:
    mb_bios_x79-ud3_f7_GIGA_SLIC_MODULE.rar
    megaupload.com/?d=R13VWHSS
    Mod log included.

    Thanks!!!
