    Hi,
I'm about to mod the BIOS for my 775Dual-VSTA.
If I have a DELL OEM disk that matches the BIOS I don't have to actually alter the disk so I?
It's my understanding that I should be able to alter the BIOS and simply install from the disk.
    Thanks.

As long as you insert a DELL SLIC 2.1 into the BIOS then the Dell OEM Disc should work for you without changing it.

    Hi again,
Just to confirm all went well. Confirmed Dell SLIC, and confirmed DELL certificates within Windows.
All checks out as genuine when using a Dell OEM DVD (installs professional) and passes validation.
Even accidently downloaded and installed KB971033 and all is still well.
