    Hi friends,

me again. After successfully upgrading Home Premium x86 to Professional i wanted to shortcut some porgrams to my desktop. I can´t remember the last times i did that in Windows 7, but now i can´t find any "Send to Destop" entry in the right-click options.... Ahhm, a little bit curious, isn´t it? Drag and Drop works also, but i can´t remember if this feature was there when i freshly setted up Windows...... ;)

Can someone please confirm that this little nice feature is gone in Windows 7? If not, can i re-enable it with a registry key?

Thank you guys, i think it is to hot today..... :)

if it is gone it should be trivial to re-add... (but don't ask me)

If you mean create shortcut on desktop then yes it seems it has been deprecated by trying to get people to pin to the taskbar or start menu.

If you want to work around do this:

Create a shortcut using the right click create shortcut shortcut(?), then hold the shift key before pressing the right mouse button. This will list all your personal folders in the send to menu.

    Thanks for your replies!

I have found another, interesting trick to modify the "Send To" options:

    - Open an explorer window
    - Type in following in the adress bar: shell:sendto
    - Now you can modify / add any folders you want

BTW: I am checking the Send To standard entries by installing Win7 Professional to a VM. I really can´t remember how i did shortcuts before....
