    Hi all.
I have an Abit IP35 Pro XE and I am trying to add SLIC2.1 and SLP1.0.

I am using the Award Tool 153.

I have my original Abit BIOS file and I have successfully updated the BIOS to v11

I modded the same BIOS file using settings 0+2. All went well.

    But.

When I come to flash the modded BIOS file it will not do it.

Using a USB MS DOS stick.
I have renamed the file a few times to different names, i.e the original file name and no luck.

Is setting 0+2 right or should I be using summet else.

I know this is an old board but still should be able to flash it.

    Any tips ?

One more thing. I did try using a floppy but the AWDFlash and the BIOS file would not fit on ? Must be doing summet wrong there.

did you try the FlashMenu utility?

    "One Click BIOS Update
With abit's BIOS flash utility you can easily update your motherboard BIOS online or offline."

I have always thought updating the BIOS via Windows was a bad thing.

I don't know if you have done it this way but this works for me ..

    1) prepare your usb stick with this
    2) place everything that was in your updated BIOS v11 on the usb stick
    3) delete the factory bios update file only and replace it with your modded bios file .. It should have the same file ending as your update file did ..
    4) depending on the bios update tool once you've booted into Dos you may have to give it the cmd in Dos example "FLASH.exe"

    Thanks for that.
Will definatley have a look at that.

I just woke up ( night worker, ok ) and suddenly realised where I may be going wrong.
I flashed the original using the "runme.bat". When I tried with awdflash I was writting the file name but I know I did not put ".bin" after typing the file name.

    Stupid tn !!!!!

That site is pretty damn good. Thanks very much.
I went through the links and got to a bit where it explained what the switches are.
Actuall had a little look round the other day trying to find that exact same info, without success.
Obviuosly didn't look hard enough

Will be having another go at this in a wee bit.

    Update.

    Job done !

Just flashed the BIOS with my modded file. All went well and I now have a SLIC and SLP table. Hurrah

In the end all I did was alter the "runme.bat" file to point to my file name. Easy really, should have just done that in the first place.

    @redroad.

Cheers. I have logged that site for further reading.
