Hello, If someone installs an illegal copy of Windows 7 and tries to activate it using a crack or whatever, will he be spotted by Microsoft and if spotted what would happen? The black screen of death, legal pursuits, other? Does it depend in which country the person lives?
Probably depends on which countr but do some reading first. Black background, not genuine pop window and smaller things comes first.
In China they'll shoot you Saudi Arabia cut your hands off Russia you'll be sent to a labour camp ROW nothing will happen
In Soviet Russia, illegal Windows copies you. No, honestly - it depends on the jurisdiction in your country. Personally, I've never heard of a private individual that had to face legal consequences just because he uses a (one) not-quite-legal copy of Windows at home. Imagine how many people are using Microsoft Windows all over the world - you have to find out all illegal copies and then adress to the countries where they are in use and those countries in turn have to prosecute you. Of course, if you're a company using hundreds of illegal windows copies things would be different. Concerning my copy of Windows, M$ homepage says genuine
i doubt very much an individual would be targeted, it would just be people selling copies and proffiting from it who would be looked at you would have to be an extremely unluck peron to be tageted just for a couple of copy's on your pc or whatever..
In California if caught using illegal windows you must make love to hot woman, drink expensive beers and of course indulge in the most finest of herbal delights Guilty as charged
In general, unless used commercially, selling pirated copies or used in companies for commercially purposes, private uses are only subject to civil claims for damages by M$. Do you think M$ will sue you for the price of a Win 7 copy??? Commercial pirating is criminal, penalty depends on your local laws.
