after making a oem slp cd, do i need to do something to my motherboard? i.e flash the BIOS i am using gigabyte p55a-ud3
thank you for your help,i want to find the SLP string in the bios but OEMBIOS tool (v1.1) doesn't work on my windows 7, any suggestions?
Believe slic isnt used for xp but SLP strings, which was removed for slic 2.0 and 2.1 but maybe im wrong.
I don't understand why oembios.exe is not running on your windows 7 system are you running x64 you could put oembios.exe onto bootable floppy disk or usb thumbdrive. i would make sure you run omebios.exe before you go adding dmi string or modding bios there may already have be gigabyte slp 1.0 string .
yes you are correct. i installed windows xp retail sp3, and then i use OEMBIOS changer to change OEMBIOS files, but cannot pass the genuine test is it because i use retail version?
You can use the SLIC Toolkit to see what SLP strings you have and change to appropriate OEMBIOS files.
slic dump toolkit can only see the slp strings it can't give you the proper CRC: needed for oembios files.
omg i downloaded Great Wall (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=47E62C15) not Gigabyte (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=6C0C2E95) no wonder it doesn't work, let me test it again
have you tried the windows 7 subforum? All you need is enter oemslp key when installing or use it in unattended file or integrating it to edition..
slicdump toolkit is crap for xp, not so great for TS win7 activation either...works for the masses tho, simple to use
I agree, slic dump toolkit is good for slics but not for slp, I used OEMBIOS to detect what the most appropriate slp for my bios.
What do u mean with slic dvd? compilation of slic or bootable dvd to integrate slic in bios or just windows 7 installation with slics integration? If u choose the last option why not using a loader, it had slics integrated, right?
he can use a loader yea. Or he can use searchengines slic 2.1 dvdkit instead It'll activate and insert oemlogo for his brand.
