Hello all! Sorry about this thread but I think that it is very important for lots of people! Sorry if it is duplicate but must be remembered. There is missed one very strong point. Everyone which tested provided feedbacks or give some valuable information about Windows 10 and registered PC in Microsoft servers must be activated! Not all upgraded from Insider Preview to Retail build when Windows 10 released! Please everyone provide about this feedback to Microsoft!
I think that I am not only one which tested provided feedbacks but missed to upgrade to get Windows 10 Retail activated which was free from Insider Preview to Retail!
So you say that if you never have activated an RTM but only testbuilds you miss out on free upgrade after July do I get this correct ?
So that will be in about a month when the windows 10 anniversary update comes out for insiders. There for I don't get your point maybe somebody else could put his thoughts about this in here
You missed one point what to do when Insider Preview is no more installed on computer/s!!! This is very important thing!!!
You know that the activation on windows 10 is HWID related i guess so if you would install the RTM it would auto activate with the activation servers based on your computer id number or am I wrong ?
You missed one point what to do when Insider Preview is no more installed on computer/s!!! This is very important thing!!! Who said insider program was over, still need to test Redstone 2
I tested installed Windows 10 RTM and it don't activates automatically!! And this means if you missed to upgrade and installed RTM as clean installation Windows 10 will not be activated. And this is the problem!
Don't forget that It could take up like 24 hours before it activates this is reported by users and BTW no problem here activated well so hell yeah
If your Insider install shows activated with Digital Entitlement, you are good for the life of the hardware. If you are just going from one not activated insider build to the next, you can probably continue doing that forever as well. Some people actually enjoy doing a clean install every 29 days.
If I am not mistaken, Windows Insiders are activated through MSA-Microsoft Account, Not HWID Thus you must upgrade like everyone else, with Win 7, 8, 8.1 key code and not on same partition as Insider build.
I don't get the point of this thread. Insider preview builds use the same HWID or oemm activation as so-called "RTM" releases of 10.
