microsoft said there will be a windows 11 ltsc but haven't said when, probably going to be based on the next windows 11 update in late 2022. There's going to be another windows 10 ltsc based off of 21h2
Nope, it most likeley will be win 10 21H2 aka 19044.xxx based. Not very likely MSFT will first release Enterprise 2022 (lets use the same number as Server 2022 LTSC), based on Win 10 21H2 = 19044.xxx next month and then a new one next year, that was done with 2015 and 2016 LTSB but the frequency has been every 3 years a new LTSB/C release. Win 11 (22000.xxxx) is already available for "seekers", Oct. will be GA.
since they're treating 10 and 11 as separate operating systems, they might want to do a final windows 10 LTSC and then create an initial windows 11 LTSC for deployment. I don't see them waiting 3 years just to get LTSC customers on the 11 codebase
Of course 3 years after releasing 19044 LTSC the next LTSC most likely will be more 11-ish (speculation!).
