i've seen links from microsoft.com that contain isoes like the enterprise 8.0 iso, so im wondering, do esd links for windows 8.0 exist and if so, are they downloadable from microsoft links or are they down?
just asking, this is not for necessity.
there was a file called windows8-setup.exe that comes from a link like esd . web . microsoft . com/blahblahnumbers and using it doesnt seem to work as it says its going to go online "to get a few things ready for you" and after a while, it says check your internet connection and try again (obv whatever this is trying to connect to is down).
just wondering if windows 8.0 esds were such a thing because windows8-setup.exe looks exactly like media creation tool and may work like it.
i've also heard that windows8-setup.exe also creates an esd folder in the root folder of the c drive where windows would normally be installed and also create another folder inside the esd folder called windows where it contains files that can be used to create an iso from it using esd-to-iso.exe.

Isn't 8.0 one of the few that really was removed from msft servers?

i dont know about this but if thats true then that wont matter that much since windows 8.0 msdn isoes exist.
just asking since i went to the windows 8.1 repository esd and i dont seem to see build 6.2.9200 or 8.0 there.

i used the way back machine to get the windows8-setup.exe file, the link doesnt work anymore and it says it has been deleted if you go to it.
windows 8.0 enterprise eval iso direct links from microsoft seem to still be up.
