    Hello,
I wanted to open the advanced section in my BIOS of Acer 4830TG.

The BIOS is an Insyde 3.5. I have the Phoenix Tool and found some forum threads which say, I've set "Allow user modification of modules" and "no SLIC".

Furthermore some others say, I need an rw-File, some say nothing about it.

    My questions were:
    1. What exactly will the "no SLIC" option do? Did it mean that an existing SLIC will be removed, or that it didn't touch the SLIC?
    2. I've the ACPItbls from rw-Report, but did I need it to load in Phoenix-Tool or is it obsolete?

As I said before, the only thing I wanted to change is the advanced option. I do not want to loose some other unique BIOS settings.

    Thanks in advance.

Andy's tool can't open any advanced section of Insyde bios; you need some sort of python scripts.... :(

ok, so it'll be useless to try that BIOS ...
Do you know, where I can get those python scripts?
On the other hand: I've an modded BIOS 1.05 with UEFI and more options in an file (unfortunatly haven't tried it yet, as I wanted a newer BIOS -> 1.07 or 1.08).
Is there a way to look what the person has done to open that "more options"?
