    Hi All,

    Anyone tried modding Acer 5920G to Slic 2.1? I am new here and wish to know if any users who had modded their Acer 5920G and can share their bios with me.

    Yes I think so, but you only need the HP cert and not the HP oem key. Use the leaked Lenovo key instead.

    Do you think with this modded bios can I still retain my Vista OEM activation?

    I am in need of some experts advise.

    I am using Acer Aspire 5920G with SLIC 2.0 bios. I was given the link to the modded bios, thanks to Viper_Rus. It pointed to the file as "ZD13813_HP21.wph". I have a few questions which I hope someone can assist to answer.

    1) This file "ZD13813_HP21.wph" requires HP cert. Where can I get this HP cert for SLIC 2.1?

    2) Has anyone who using Acer Aspire 5920G modded this bios? Is it good to go?

    3) Can this modded bios also keep my existing vista activated? I am using Acer OEM original bios as of now, v1.3813

    4) This modded bios, can it flash using SWinFlash (Windows flash utility from Phoenix) ?

    I have extended warranty so if something happens to the lappy it will look odd if the OEM license will be from another brand.

    For now i'm using Vista, and not in a hurry to upgrade to WIN 7.
