Dear Friends, I purchased an Acer Aspire 4930 in last June with pre-installed Vista home premium. Is it possible to install windows 7 ultimate in my laptop. Because when i visited acer.com website, there is no windows 7 drivers available for my model. Kindly help somebody to help in this issue. Thanks in advance
Well you don't need to worry about drivers. Most of them should work on 7 and if not use Windows Update.
Pramu: erm... no W7 drivers? Humm.. I guess you went to the wrong page. Drivers for your model are available since 23th of last month! Make sure to check the Operating System dropdown menu and choose Windows 7 x32 or x64. Have fun! Just a sugestion, your model came with 1gb of ram right? Try to get a 2gb module to go with... It will make your system run a bit faster.
thanks for your suggestion dear, it is 3 gb ram. works okke. currently i am using windws 7 loader (hazar) to activate my windows 7 ultimate. but whre to find out modded bios for my acer aspire 4930 which hav SLIC 2.1 thank u.
