What was the last thing you did on the computer before this happened?

    Maybe the hard drive died.

Maybe ultimate boot cd can fix it.

Assembles over 100 PC hardware diagnosis tools into one bootable CD to analyze and repair hard drives and boot problems.

    just google ultimate boot cd

The only hope is with your changed Hard drive,
boot the system using Windows 7 installation DVD and install a clean copy

Ultimate Boot CD runs in memory so you do not need a hard drive.

I am also using Aspire 5536 and if u want to flash ur BIOS than download a BIOS update from softpedia search as aspire 5536 BIOS softpedia
and extract the zip archive. Now execute the batch file to proceed for the BIOS update, remember don't shutdown your Laptop while flashing your BIOS. Be patient and wait for 2-3minutes.
The update works on winXP/Vista as well as Windows 7. Hope it works, if not than reply me <santoshsahu138@gmail.com>

If your computer is starting to boot up then cuts out. It Sounds like your cpu & Heat sink or Fan is the problem
If you have installed a new fan Try renewing the Thermal paste on your cpu. This problem has happened to me & that cured it

    Best of luck
