I'm the unfortunate owner of a badly flashed Aspire 6530G Notebook. It was fully functional with bios v3222 and when I updated to v3223 it stoped working. It didn't even power up. So I desoldered the 8MBit bios chip (Amic A25L080) and connected it to an spi programmer I had built in the past. I dumped the contents of the chip and noted that the first 10000h bytes were 00h. So I reprogramed it with the first 1024 bytes of the .wph file that I downloaded from Acer's website, verified that it's been programmed correctly and re-soldered it to the motherboard. Now the computer powers up but there's no output on the screen and after a few seconds it shuts down and starts up again. Please tell me if you have any experience with this situation. Is it because the file I downloaded from the website is not good for my programmer or maybe there's some other failure as well? Anyone else had any similar adventures? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
