Acer Aspire 7520 Power on issue

    My laptop (Acer Aspire 7520) switches on and off randomly. What can be the cause?
    Please!!!!!!!!! I need help.

    Overheating. Open it up and clean it out. The bios will shut it down at a certain temp so it doesn't go up in a ball of flame. Make sure the fan(s) are working....:cool:

    A lot of times what happens is over time as people use their laptops and do things like setting them on their lap or a pillow etc. they block the cooling vents causing overheating issues as this process is repeated you start actually causing bad solder connections on the board that can cause issues like what your experiencing and the problem can be random depending on how long the unit is on or if you are moving about with it and you flex the case one way or the other.

    What is done to fix these types of issues is the motherboard is removed and the board is reworked with heat guns or actually put into an oven to reflow the solder due to most electronics these days having surface mounted resistors and diodes etc. which are very tedious to rework with a standard soldering iron.

    Check on the power cables if there are disconnection in the wires. Check thoroughly. Hope this helps.
