Hi just wondered if anyone had any suggestions or advice on my issue. I have offered to replace a deffective hard drive in a friends acer laptop , the drive is completely corrupted and I am unable to retrieve any key from it , unfortunately the COA label underneath the laptop is unreadable. Besides using the original recovery discs which I do not have or using Daz loader is there any other way using a windows DVD I could activate windows 7 with a correct Acer key ? I dont want to flash the bios , can I somehow insert a Acer key after installation ? If so where do I get a Acer key for the Laptop , Acer refuse to help with this.
