A couple years ago I bricked my Acer laptop. The brick was caused due to a power outage and windows 10 auto bios update. Now I am trying to recover the bios on this laptop as I will be needing it from now on. I don't have access to any acer's places that could repair my laptop nor do I have warranty. Right now the computer only has the keyboard backlight on when I turn it on and the screen is black, nothing on. Currently I am trying to recover the bios by inserting a usb that contains the FD file. But I am having difficultly getting the name. Nonetheless, I went through the producer but nothing is happening. Can anyone help me to recover the bios. Download acer bios from acer website,use 7zip unpack Bios_1.12.exe to a folder, you will find Covini112.fd Edit : Sorry, I missed understand what you mean. Asparagus Lover was right. It should be Cn_Ah_CFL.BIN.
It's always in the one place. "$IFLASH" signatures indicate the start of .fd file parts (BIOS, EC, cfg file for H2OFFT and so one).
