Hello everyone, I encounter difficulty to find a functional bios after a flash downgrade bios (because is a EBAY used motherboard it was impossible to run the GTX 1050 an error 43) so I flash via Windows a bios former which I have to modify the flag. the procedure is well done, I have the progression run in back. the PC redémre and it is the black screen ... and the backlight of the keyboard remains lit. by doing the combination fn + Esc I get flashing USB keys but I try tt the possible name of bios (* .fd) to rename the file extracted from the latest version of the bios. Remove & reset battery (power on one night...) = no result If anyone can help me, I will be very happy. ACER SPIN 5 515 51GN
Identical result. Protocol: Fat 32 usb key with just the .fd file on it. I press fn + esc then power. the led of the key flashes 1 second then the PC goes off and restart (except procedure recovery) black screen and keyboard light Sorry for my english (french)
Your English is fine...no worries. Please check these things: - Try all the USB ports on your laptop. Sometimes only one of the USB headers is usable for recovery procedure. - Not 100% sure on this, but ensure the USB stick is 4GB or possibly smaller. I usually restore laptops with a 2GB, 1GB or even 512MB SanDisk USB stick formatted as FAT32.
thank you for your help @tqhoang I just tried with a sandisk key (16go I have no less ... I even tried to make 1 go partition on the key) on all usb ports, same result ... when flashing bios under windows with insyde there must be a copy backup to the hard drive?
Hi guys, Was these ever worked? I tried it, after powering on the laptop still holding the FN+ESC and only releasing 3 seconds after it boots up Itll take approx 30 seconds before the laptop reboots and remain back to the black screen with keyboard litted up Is that how the flash should take place?
Keyboard recovery doesn't work. They had to recover by getting a CH341A programmer and reprogramming the BIOS chip on the motherboard.
